Εκπαιδευμένος στην Αγγλία ( (Brompton, London Chest, St. Mary's, University of London) και στην Αμερική  (Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Baystate Medical Center, Tuffts  Medical  School, Albert Starr Academic Center for Cardiothoracic Surgery), ο Dr Αγάθος εργάζεται ως Διευθυντής Καρδιοχειρουργικής Κλινικής στο Νοσοκομείο Ιασώ. Επιτελούνται όλες οι επεμβάσεις κλασσικής Καρδιοχειρουργικής, όπως αορτοστεφανιαίες παρακάμψεις (bypass), διορθώσεις/ αντικαταστάσεις βαλβίδων, χειρουργική ανευρυσμάτων ανιούσης αορτής και τόξου. ¨Εμφασις δίδεται στην διενέργεια επεμβάσεων με τεχνικές της ενδοσκοπικής Καρδιοχειρουργικής για διορθώσεις/αντικατστάσεις βαλβίδων, σύγκλειση μεσοκολπικού ελλείματος και αφαίρεση όγκων καρδιάς.

for Cardiothoracic Surgery), Dr. Agathos is working as Director of Cardiac
Surgery at Iaso Hospital in Athens. All spectrum of adult cardiac surgery is
performed such as aortocoronary bypass operations, valve surgery (repair or
replacement), congenital anomalies in adults, and surgery of the large vessels
(ascending aorta, arch and descending thoracic aorta aneurysms). Minimal
Invasive Cardiac Surgery (from minimal incisions) for repair or replacement of
Cardiac valves and closure of ASD. 

World Patent Stent Design. Stent from titanium or pom-C. Bioprosthetic Valves made from Porcine composite trileaflet valves and bovine pericardium.
